SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 33

Congratulating the Parkersburg South High School wrestling team on
winning the 2000 state Class AAA wrestling championship.
Whereas, The Parkersburg South High School wrestling team had
an excellent regular season in 2000, which earned it the
opportunity to participate in the state Class AAA wrestling
championship playoffs; and
Whereas, The Parkersburg South High School wrestling team
captured its fifth title in six years after winning the 2000 state
Class AAA wrestling championship; and
Whereas, Parkersburg South High School's tremendous wrestling
season is credited to the outstanding coaching ability of Tim
McCartney, along with the athletic ability and sportsmanship of
each team player; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate hereby congratulates the Parkersburg South
High School wrestling team on its excellent regular season in 2000
and on winning the state Class AAA wrestling championship title for
the fifth time in six years; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward
a copy of this resolution to the principal of Parkersburg South High School, Tim McCartney, coach of the Parkersburg South High
School wrestling team and each member of the team.
